Freshmen Parents

Online Program

GT SMART (GT Students Managing Alcohol Risk at Tech) and The Georgia Tech Parents Program in conjunction with the University of Minnesota are pleased to offer our Georgia Tech parents of freshmen students the opportunity to participate in this informative and interactive online program.

The GT SMART program provides parents with information about Georgia Tech student alcohol use and encourages ongoing discussions with your son or daughter regarding high risk alcohol consumption, peer pressure and behaviors that may prove harmful to themselves and others.

The instruction page will tell you how to navigate through the program. The codes have been emailed to you. If you encounter any technical problems please contact: Jodi Dworkin. If you need the entry codes please contact Zazy Torres at 404-385-2289.

We hope that you will take this opportunity to learn more about the issue of alcohol on campus and the importance of talking to your student about responsible alcohol use. Working together, we can play an important role in their overall collegiate success and support your student in realizing their full potential and becoming successful in their goals.

Funding for this program is made possible by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
